Design/Build Industry Veteran Focusing on Commercial Projects, Acquisition Coordination and Due Diligence

NUTLEY, N.J., Nov. 4, 2021 – Prism Capital Partners has appointed Edward Mislavsky as vice president of construction. This newly created position responds to sustained activity for the Nutley-based, vertically integrated commercial real estate owner/operator/developer.

Working closely with Robert L. Gibson, senior vice president of construction services, Mislavsky will focus on design and construction oversight for Prism’s commercial projects and assist with acquisition coordination and due diligence. A seasoned industry veteran, he brings three decades of executive-level experience to his new role.

“I have a deep appreciation and passion for the opportunities that exist to deliver projects and on stakeholder expectations,” Mislavsky said. “The complexities of Prism’s projects and property acquisitions makes this a challenging and exciting opportunity, and I am looking forward to working with the distinguished team at Prism to deliver outstanding results.”

Among Mislavsky’s immediate priorities will be the build-to-suit medical office building set to break ground at Prism’s ON3 in Clifton. The 80,000-square-foot facility has been pre-leased to Hackensack Meridian Health, which already occupies academic and R&D space at the 116-acre flagship redevelopment. Construction of the new Ambulatory Care Center – which will include an ambulatory surgical center as well as additional multi-specialty practice areas – is expected to begin imminently.

“Ed’s high-powered expertise in both the public and private sector, and his impressive track record of success make him a valuable addition to our construction management team,” said Prism’s Eugene Diaz, principal partner. “The diversity of his experience positions him to offer a fresh perspective for our current project pipeline as well as future acquisition initiatives.”

Prior to joining Prism, Mislavsky served as principal of The FERMA Group, where he provided innovative and customized project oversight and management, and dispute resolution services to multi-industry clients. Most recently he led the Project Management Office for the Super Nintendo World project at Universal Studios Japan. Prior to that assignment, he provided planning and dispute resolution services on other Universal Studios projects, and led complex historic restorations of The Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, N.J., and Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, N.Y.

Mislavsky began his career overseeing power generation and process plant construction projects. As principal for the Project Planning Group, he worked with project owners to deliver capital projects in the education, leisure and entertainment industries. Clients included Sony Entertainment and Walt Disney Imagineering.

Later, as project executive for Harrah’s Entertainment, he led the design and construction of the Boat to Barge Casino Conversion project in Joliet, Illinois, and the rebranding of properties in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Then, as vice president of Meridian Consulting Group/HOV Services, he focused on troubled projects management for surety industry clients; the most notable project was the restoration of the John Adams Courthouse in Boston, Mass.
