Prism Capital Partners is a highly successful New Jersey-based vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm. The company employs a multi-asset class strategy that is geographically focused in New Jersey and the greater NY Metropolitan area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Underwrite new investments and developments, and provide associated financial analysis to prove company investment thesis to pursue market-leading investment opportunities.
- Track and review returns and performance on Assets and developments.
- Serve as a market “expert” with extensive detailed knowledge of the macro and micro factors affecting the market.
- Work along with other company disciplines to complete due diligence and ultimately close on pursued investments.
- Work with senior management to negotiate acquisitions and disposition of assets.
- Work with senior management to negotiate project financing with lenders and interface with the lender community.
- Track and analyze all aspects of the local commercial real estate market.
- Positively represent the organization by building strong relationships with internal and external clients, including being personally client-facing and externally focused on new business efforts.
- Contribute to business development efforts by working with local brokerage and investment sales communities.
- Analyze asset management decisions and provide sensitivity analysis to evaluate hold sale decisions and financing decisions and leasing decisions.
- Work cooperatively and impactfully with people inside and outside the organization – such as Asset Management, Acquisitions, Legal, and Accounting, Operating Partners, Development, and Investment teams.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, or in a related field. A Master’s degree in finance, real estate, or business is a plus.
- Minimum 2-years’ experience in investment banking, real estate investment sales, mortgage banking, and or appraisal industry.
- Strong command of Argus and Excel, including nested lookup functions and pivot tables.
- Helpful but not required is a strong command of the NY Metro local real estate markets and business, with a good understanding of macro trends and historical perspective.
- Possess a good understanding of private equity, investment risk, and real estate investments.
- Strong research skills, including data collection and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and must be able to make rational decisions when under pressure.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit; candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and think proactively and strategically and must be able to align research with the business for innovative research output.
